European Film Awards 2009 – with unique LED film strip

The 22. European Film Awards took place at the spectacular venue of the Jahrhunderthalle in Bochum with 1,400 guests on December 12, 2009. Creative Technology Germany was media technology partner once again, realizing the high-resolution LED screen, an „LED film strip“, the HD projection as well as the HD production.
The media technology highlight of the set design, by Jürgen Schmidt-André, was a unique „LED film strip“, built with Barco MiSTRIP. The creative LED pixel strips in a curved construction and with graphics of a film strip were implemented as central element of the stage, with a high-resolution, brilliant 4 mm LED screen Barco NX-4 in upright format aside.
A huge HD rear projection with double stacked Barco HD 20 projectors was installed for presenting the live pictures and clips of the awards ceremony. The LED frame for the stage design was realized with VersaTUBES – the luminous LED tubes matched perfectly with the video content of the set and marked additional dynamic visual effects.
