The Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris - taking place from September 28 until October 15, 2006 - stands this year again for automobile innovations and numerous highlights, presented on excellent exhibition stands. In case of media technology, major exhibiting companies such as Saab, GM, Cadillac/Corvette, Audi and Skoda relied on the professional full service from CT Germany, an international leading provider for the renting and installation of audio visual media technology for exhibitions, conferences, events, shows and also on TV.

For the first time, an LED screen innovation of the 3rd dimension is integrated as visual partition into the Saab exhibition stand concept – the new STEALTH™. This media technology highlight with seven screens consisting of a total of 1200 white STEALTH™ elements (192 sqm) was planned, designed, installed and supported by CT Germany for the Saab exhibition stand, which had more than 1000 square meters.

As the first white LED screen with a resolution of 25 mm and a transparency with more than 55%, the STEALTH™ convinced with its image quality, resolution, flexibility, form and brightness. Due to the perfect integration of the individual screens into the exhibition architecture, fascinating three-dimensional insights as well as a unique ambient experience for the visitors are generated. The very lightweight screens with a height of four meters were hung up from the ceiling, float closely over the floor, thus producing an impressive airiness. Four screens with four meters each and two screens with a width of eight meters each were constructed by the 40 x 40 cm elements. Another screen was installed in a curved form – with a striking width of sixteen meters. The perfect coordination of the video contents on the individual screens was programmed by CT, thus ensuring the unique presentation of the content, which was provided by the customer, realized by using a Watchout HD-System.

The technical installations by CT were completed by interactive car display systems, internet stations, equipment for the press room with the very latest IT technology and with a complete audio system for the entire exhibition stand.

  Versatile and professional

Apart from the technical realization of new, creative ideas, such as the STEALTH™, well proven, professional media technology was used for other projects. As a partner over many years, CT Germany was responsible for the complete audio, video and broadcast technology during the GM Europe press conference on the Opel stand where the Opel Antara was presented and with the world premiere of the Chevrolet WTCC Ultra Concept. Especially for the international press conference on September 28, CT supplied two high-resolution Barco ILite 6XP LED screens with 16 square meters each, a Barco Folsom Encore Live Switcher, professional camera systems with Sony DXC-D 50 cameras, as well as the entire FOH technology. The CT team consisting of 16 members was responsible for the complete installation and support of the audio, video and broadcast technology during the press conference.

On the sector multimedia, the CT software engineers were again responsible for the software programming of the interactive car display systems for Cadillac/Corvette on the exhibition stand. Customer-specifically programmed terminal systems and also touch displays offer the customer numerous possibilities for interactive communication at the site of installation on the exhibition with their visitors. This year, CT also supplied more than thirty new LC displays in 16:9 formats for Audi. They were used in most different installation variants on the exhibition stand.

Another high-resolution Barco ILite 6 XP LED screen is the central media technology element on the exhibition stand of Skoda. Over a total width of more than 15 meters, a 20 square meter LED surface with several narrow stripes on the right and left side was installed in a curved special construction approx. 3.60 meters above the floor. The input for the LED elements consisting of video films, which were provided by the customer, was realized with Doremi harddisc players. In addition to the LED screen, 61“ plasma displays with DVD players were installed on the stand.

Apart from the exhibition stand, the international press conference on the Skoda stand was equipped again this year by CT with broadcast technology and a camera team.
