ARD Studio for the European Championship in Portugal with ILite 3 LED screen from CT Germany . . .

The ARD studio with Gerhard Delling and Günter Netzer during the European Soccer Championship in Portugal was equipped with a high-resolution LED screen and most modern media technology from CT Germany.
As a highlight, a Barco ILite 3 screen from CT was installed in the TV studio. This screen absolutely fulfilled the high technical requests of live broadcasting. At the six broadcast places (Guimaräes, 2x Porto, Leira, 2x Lisbon) the technical equipment was installed in the respective ARD studio and was dismounted in the night after the transmission to be ready for use in the next studio again. In doing so, a special challenge to the technology was also the strict compliance of the exact schedule, the logistical planning and the local conditions in the studios.
A technician from CT Germany was put in charge for the installation of the entire CT equipment and servicing in the studios in Portugal. CT Germany supported the production team with material and technical know how already during the planning phase. In addition to the successful installation of the ILite 3 screen during the entire European Championship in 2004 starting with the opening game on June 12th, the "Sportschau" (= German sports program) on June 26th from Porto and on August 3rd from Lisbon was realized with the equipment from CT Germany.
With the new Barco ILite 3 LED modules, CT Germany has an absolute highlight of the indoor LED technology in its own rental park. With a resolution of only 3.5 mm and a viewing angle of up to 140° and 4.4 billion colors the ILite 3 LED modules reach a brilliant image quality which is unique. Due to the module size of 258 x 193.5 mm and a low weight of 4.8 kg, the ILite 3 module can be used in a flexible way for presentations of individual kinds and sizes. Due to its elegant design and highest functionality the ILite 3 modules are the perfect solution for shows, exhibitions and top-class events.
