The countdown has begun: „Our star for Oslo“, the TV pre-show for the 55th Eurovision Song Contest 2010 started on ProSieben on February 02, 2010 and presents in 8 shows the stars of tomorrow to millions of viewers – in a brand new, spectacular studio with a stage design (Florian Wieder) built with creative LED technology. As one of the international leading full-service partners, CT Germany is on site with professional media technology and reliable services for the technical highlights at the studio in Cologne: the central, moving MiPIX SPHERE DIFFUSION, a ceiling covering NOVA LED installation, the MiSTRIP LED pixel strips in the floor as well as in the columns of the stage backdrop.
As technical partner and supplier for the whole LED and media technology CT was booked from its customer Cape Cross to realize the unique TV set professionally. Central element of the studio ceiling is the gigantic MiPIX SPHERE DIFFUSION, an LED design object consisting of 9,800 LED pixels with exclusive diffusers and with a diameter of 2.1 meter. The ceiling is covered with a curved LED installation of NOVA LED strips designed with 12,000 single LED voxel.
The columns of the backdrop and the stage floor are equipped with more than 500 MiSTRIP LED pixel strips and a high-resolution, moving 6 mm LED screen of the latest generation is showing live pictured of the show and video clips in brilliant picture quality. The graphic content of the entire show is perfectly aligned with all LED media and well coordinated with the lighting design (Jerry Appelt) - showing new dynamic visual effects in every show act.
